Western Illinois University did a mock election to see who will be the next president. They have done it before. They also haven't been wrong since 1975.
Winner: Bernie Sanders with Martin O'Malley as the VP
Loser: Jeb Bush with Marco Rubio as the VP

Personally, I think the final two will be Bernie Sanders and Ted Cruz. However, I still think Bernie Sanders will win. The extreme Tea Partiers will vote for the Republican candidate either way. But, there are a lot of Republicans that don't agree with the current Candidates. Bernie is closer to what these voters are looking for then today's Republican field.
What about Hilary? She's not electable in the final round. Those moderate Republicans might vote for Bernie. But, they won't vote for Hilary. That's because of the emails, Benghazi, and the fact she has too many big banks as donors to actually enact laws needed to control them. She's not real. You can't trust what she's saying, you can trust Bernie!
Many Democrats feel this way too. When we are staring at their names next to each other, Hilary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, I think a lot more Democrats will choose Bernie over Hilary. She's a big name, but Bernie is more trustworthy. We also know he's more likely to beat the Republican then she is. In the primary, when you think about who to send to the big race, you want to choose the candidate most likely to win. That's Bernie Sanders

I think Martin O'Malley is the future for the Democratic party. He's not well known yet, but he's done a lot of good. He'd make a fantastic Vice President! After, he'd be well known enough to pull in the votes to win. Especially, with a proven positive track record. He does have a following even now. He is the best choice for Vice President in this race. Bernie and Hilary have to choose him for VP as the parties future. I'll still vote for him in the primary, but I'm also being realistic.
Why don't I think Trump with make it to the big boy race? Because when a voter is actually staring at names things become real. Even if you vote Republican, you're going to want someone experienced in politics. Primary ballot boxes are different then polls. At the primary ballot box, he won't have the same support. I doubt Jeb Bush will make the big race because he's disappointed a lot of Republicans as a leader in Florida.
Cruz is disappointing too, but at least he knows how the system works. Clearly, Donald Trump doesn't know much about politics to begin with. There is a reason the major is called Political SCIENCE! It's a science, not a sound bite. When you think about the only Republican on the ticket leaders in other countries would even talk to, Cruz is the only option.
Cruz vs Sanders
So, if you're a Democrat this is a no brainer. If you're a Republican Extremist this is a no brainer. If you're a moderate Republican. There are things to consider:
Who will work hard to raise my pay? Bernie Sanders
Who will be able to SUCCESSFULLY make deals with foreign leaders? Bernie Sanders
Who will get things done? Bernie Sanders, Remember, Ted Cruz started the Government Shutdown
The Republican candidates have done none of those things. They don't even make an effort to address these issues. They are too busy with a disturbing list of ways to emulate Hitler with how to treat Muslims. As well as finding ways to force immigrants out of the country. They are too busy focusing on Planned Parenthood to address how they will put more money in the pockets of the poor and middle class and less in the pockets of the ultra rich.
There are foreign leaders who have banned Trump. You can't lead effectively like that. The same leaders are vocal about their disapproval for the rest of the candidates. Foreign policy is important. It helps create peace. We are safest when there is peace. The policies the GOP wants to enact will put us in MORE harm.
But the Democrats can only win with a candidate the Moderate Republicans are comfortable with. Most are more comfortable with Bernie over the current GOP field. We're not talking John McCain anymore.
