I hear that a lot of people are sick now as Winter melts into Spring and so do the temperatures. We are no exception. Josh works in a warehouse and last Wednesday came home sick, although he didn't show signs of it until Friday night. He had horrible coughing fits and after checking things out on WebMD http://www.webmd.com and the Mayo Clinic Sites http://www.mayoclinic.com. I had a suspicion is was Occupational Bronchitis.
It was a rough weekend for him and on his way to work on Monday he vomited including a little blood (from a raw bronchial tube). That meant by FDA standards, no cheese for my Cheese Man! Bronchitis is contagious so even though for Josh it started in the chest and for me and Zach it started in our noses, it here and we're miserable. I had a fever of 100.4 yesterday. My average is 97.6 so 100.4 is a fever for me.
We watch this show in the morning on PBS called Dinosaur Train. It's about a Pternadon family with a T-Rex adopted son who take a Dinosaur train through the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous time periods learning about all the dinosaurs. They are two fifteen minute minisodes (8:30am channel 23 right before Sesame Street). After both a Paleontologist named "Scott the Paleontologist" talks about the dinosaur featured (or other things like fossils or night vision) and compares them to animals alive today like a Triceratops to a Rhinoceros. The other day I was thinking that it's easy to figure out how a Brontosaurus was named. As a kid I loved that a Brontosaurus is also named an Apatosaurus.

The Skirt Fits (Mostly)!!!
I can clasp and zip the skirt around my belly button!!! YAY!! I only lost two pounds in three weeks bringing me to 128. Last week I gained one back experimenting with a bedtime snack that wouldn't require crackers in the middle of the night, it didn't work. Progress is progress and I feel more beautiful already!!! Gabriel, my Nutritionist, is very proud of how things have been going.
If it were to be warm enough to wear the skirt out, I could. In fact, it fits so well in a 12 I ordered the 10 version since it's so good after only two pounds and I want to loose 15 making the need for extra motivation higher!!! I'm far from thin but my self-confidence is back and that's important. I feel pretty again when before I was feeling ugly (Although, when you see the picture remember I have Bronchitis and feel miserable).
I need that. As hard as I'm working Josh, who gained weight last spring and needed 34 x 32 pants, lost enough weight to need 33 x 32! I was so jealous because he gets to eat a lot that I can't anymore. Gabby says men loose weight easier then women. Men better appreciate a healthy weighing woman if we're busting our butts to stay average weight our entire lives and they have it that easy!!!
Stop Calling Me Josh!!!
Zach is learning a lot of names now including "Who" for Uncle Hugh and "Ake" for Uncle Jake. He also knows Josh's name is Josh. I had read in an article when I was pregnant that to help keep a marriage strong post-baby call each other by names other then "Mommy" and "Daddy" sometimes as a reminder that there is more to your relationship then being parents. Good advice and I do call Josh "Honey" (I call Zach that too sometimes but Zach is mostly "Angel") or "Sweetheart" but I refer to him as "Josh" when I'm asking for him to do something for me or am frustrated by something he did to make things harder on me. Unfortunately, Zach has been around for a lot of "Josh" moments lately (mostly him making things harder for me like standing in front of the fridge which is also in front of the counter when I'm cooking!!!) When Zach is asked "Who's your Daddy?" he responds "Josh" now and points to Josh. Josh has asked that I stop calling him Josh in front of Zach since he just wants Zach to call him "Daddy".
