Real Superheroes

As Christmas gets closer people keep asking me about what to get Zach. He loves all his action figures but is drawn to Superheroes. They include, the Power Rangers, Transformer Autobots, Superman, Batman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman, Spiderman, Iron Man, Wolverine, The Hulk, Thor, and Captain America mostly. So It made me think about who our REAL Superheroes are. It made me ask, what makes someone a Superhero? For me, that means if you risk your life to protect another person's life as part of your job.

You are a Superhero if:

1. You serve/served in the Military
2. You serve/served in Law Enforcement
3. You serve/served as a Firefighter
4. You serve/served as a Paramedic

They all serve their Community and Country in some way. When I see anyone who does any of these things, I thank them for what they do or did. I am teaching Zach to do the same things.

Recently, Josh and I started bonding of the TV Show Hawaii Five-0 (Fri 9pm CBS). It's the type of show he likes but it's not that gory so I can watch it too. We're both addicted. Zach watches our other shows with us so this has become something that is just for us. As I watch how all of the Characters have different approaches to their jobs it makes me wonder if the people who do these jobs ever feel like they are any of these Superheroes while doing them.

SO.........to all of our Superheroes...................Which one best describes you?

1. Superman (Invincible, Super strength, Freezing breath, and Heat Vision)

2. Supergirl (Same as Superman)

3. Batman (High tech electronics help him fight crime.)

4. Batgirl (Same as Batman)

5. Green Lantern (Uses his green power ring to create anything he can imagine to fight crime & and Aliens)

6. The Flash (fastest Man alive. He can walk on water, climb buildings, and go through solid objects)

7. Aquaman (He can swim deep in the water without getting tired and communicate with sea life. He can control all water and has telekinetic powers.)

8. Wonder Woman (She has a lasso of truth to get people to tell the truth and her bracelets give her super strength. She flies in an invisible jet.)

9. Spiderman (He can walk up walls an make webs. He uses the webs to swing from building to building to make him hard to catch.)

10. Iron Man (A Millionaire that made a suit of iron to protect himself. He can shoot laser beams out of his eyes and hands and he can fly.)

11. Captain America (Former Military put in an experiment. He has super strengths. He has a cast iron shield that when he throws it comes back to him).

12. The Hulk (He can smash bricks, walls, buildings, cars and anything that's in his way)

13. Wolverine (He has metal claws coming out of his hands. They are razor sharp he uses the to cut things and for protection like scissors or knives. He has super-sensitive hearing and can see at night without a problem)

14. Thor (A Nordic God, He controls thunder. He has a hammer that creates the thunder and will only work for him. The hammer is the only way he can fly. When the hammer is swung it comes back to him).
