Vacation

We got back from Vacation a few days ago. We went to Ocean City, NJ. It was a ton of fun mostly filled with swimming and walking/shopping on the boardwalk. Last year I had gotten us each Sesame Street hoodies with the faces of Elmo (Zach), Big Bird (me) and the Count (Josh). Mine and Josh's I wear outside when it's cold enough at night. We had gotten Zach 2 sizes and the second one he's almost out of. But he's not interested in Sesame Street anymore. Josh and I just aren't hoodie people. So this year I got Josh a Thing 1 shirt and Zach and Thing 2 from The Cat in the Hat by Dr. Seuss. That they loved and wore to the grocery store yesterday.

I needed new coffee table decorations for June so I went to Old Salt which is my favorite place on the boardwalk and now it's Zach. I got him an etch a sketch (travel) since the only other toys he had were some hot wheels and his books. We also got him an Ocean Animal book there. He loved my decorations and wanted to get one of his own. I had chosen a couple of light houses as part of the decorations and so he chose one of his own that his loves. We put it in his room next to a watermelon decoration I had given up. He was so cute yesterday he decided he wanted his to be on display in the rest of the house like mine so he was walking around looking for a good place. They are back in his room. It also was his first year enjoying rides on the boardwalk.

We swam in the nice pool at the hotel a lot and each day Zach went to the beach with Grandma like last year. As a thank you we got my mom a seashell picture frame for beach pictures and for my dad we got a picture of beach chairs looking at sunset that match a few things he has at home. We are only able to do this because of a nice tax refund (that's also how we can afford the town pool). The weather was perfect until like an hour before we left. Here are some pictures. Most were clearly taken in the same set. We were too busy enjoying the vacation to remember to take pictures most of the time. The pool ones were taken by my dad.

He's saying "no pictures" he hates having his pictures taken or I'd have more on my blog.
