Christmas Picture

We have taken Zach's christmas picture and all have been either mailed or hand delivered. YAY! I like getting it done early. We don't do the "Santa's Lap" thing (unless my Father-In-Law wants to rent a Santa costume He's a retired Clown but still does Magician and Balloon Sculpture. Once he wore a Wizard costume for a kid's party). To save money we take it, make them at Walgreens (where we buy the stamps WHILE it's being made) then assemble and mail.

This year Zach had just gotten a haircut that morning. My Dad cuts his hair. He was excited to take his Christmas Picture. It's the first year he's learning about Christmas and he loves it!!! His job is to plug in the tree since he does it every morning anyway (which I then unplug). After his nap, I dressed him in his dress cloths and before I said anything he stood in front of the tree. He knew that was the plan since I mentioned it to my Dad at lunch. His nap was short that day with all his excitement. It took just 16 shots to get the right picture. I always try to get that dimple! He was very cooperative at following directions and once I put the shade down the lighting was right.

It took so little time we walked to Walgreens. He hung out in a shopping cart while I created the card and we waited for it to be made. He's being so good with decorations that I saw a none-breakable cute tree (only like 3inches tall) for $1 and now it's HIS decoration. We walked home and Josh got home basically at the same time. While dinner cooked, I assembled the cards. That night Josh had something to do so Zach and I walked to my parent's house to deliver my Mom and Dad's, my brother's and his girlfriend's Christmas cards. We stopped at a mailbox along the way to mail the rest of them. Josh delivered the ones for his Parent's, Lisa, and Jake the next day.
