Bedtime Routine, Dance of the Toddler

Zach's bedtime routine is, well, routine. I'm sure most of you recognize it: Snack, teeth brush, bath, PJ's, books, and walking to bed. There actually is more detail to it. Below is a picture of snack time. Today he's having a sandwich I made for dinner last night (It was date night for us and he was going to have a real dinner most likely with Aunt Lisa but I wanted to be prepared. For lunch we had left over tacos since it's not like he didn't have anything dinner like). Well, I forgot to sent the sandwich to Aunt Lisa so snack tonight it is. He had chicken fingers and fries last night for dinner but didn't eat much at family dinner tonight so it made sense to give him more then cheese tonight. He usually has cheese. He always gets milk to drink. The hand is Daddy as he's trying to get Zach to eat more. It's just not an eating day for him, they happen. He's usually a big eater. This starts at 7:30

At 8:00 Josh wheels him to the bathroom for teeth brushing and watching Daddy shave (I want Zach to have the mindset of shaving every day). Next, comes the cute part. When he's naked and diaper less as the bath fills he runs through the house laughing and waving his arms. It's the cutest sight!!! Bath time is with Daddy then PJ's. Josh does most of it since I spend all day most days with him and Josh loves the bonding time. Then, Josh calls "Mommy" and I pick Zach up, take him to Daddy in the rocking chair, kiss him goodnight, and finish with a goodnight kiss from Zach for me. Josh reads to him for a while and there you go.
