Macho! Macho Baby!!!

Zach is strong. He's always been drawn to the heavy things, testing his strength. When he was 10 months old we were walking around Dick's Sporting Goods (well him in the stroller) and I gave him a one pound weight just for fun. That was so easy for him I tried the two pound then we continued to walk around the store. The two pound was obviously harder but he did it. A couple of days ago we were at Modell's Sporting Goods letting him actually walk around and when we gave him a FIVE pound weight he was able to pick that up briefly. He walked around the store holding the two pound weights like they were nothing!!!!

Josh was a strong baby too. But in Josh's case it was out of necessity. He has Hydrocephalus and that means a lot of water in his head which means a huge head as a kid. Zach is the kid that will find the biggest rock around and carry that a while. Today he picked up a three pound pumpkin we have and carried that a good distance (you know before he gave it to Mommy since by then we were pretty far away from where we actually live then wanted Mommy to carry him for a while complete with pumpkin and the backpack (yes mine from High School) that had our jackets in it).

He likes looking macho too. It's warm in the apartment sometimes so we take his shirt off and leave him in his jeans. He walks around then like he's about to work on a project, all he needs is a tool belt. He is really adorable when he is carrying stuff with his jeans and no shirt. Here is my little builder now.

Isn't he just adorable? Blocks are a favorite whether it's wooden or mega. Pictures like these just say "boy".

I love that he is so strong. It's good that he is capable. I guess we are going to have to teach him to bend at the knees at a very young age. As someone who is not that strong I must say this particular skill is a surprise. He even dances and giggles when we change the the words to "Macho, Macho Man, I wanna be a macho man" inserting "baby" for "man". Just one word describes him: BOY!!!
